Angel Carlton, Chief Empowerment Officer & Leadership/Transformation Coach

With a passion for personal transformation, Angel helps people navigate change so that they transform into the next greatest version of themselves.  Boldly developing innovative, agile and engaged leaders so that they are confidently well prepared for the next generation of talent and well equipped to create a high performance workforce.

Angel is a keynote speaker and also serves as a corporate Senior Leadership Development Facilitator both designing and delivering virtual and classroom programs that aim to transform cultures into collaborative, compassionate and civil work environments.

Angel is a published author of 2 books, Dedicated to Destiny, A Pursuit in Personal Growth, Prosperity & Purpose, and Staying Afloat During Tides of Change, Introducing the 6 Stages of Transformation.  

In addition, she is a radio talk show and podcast host on the popular podcast entitled Leading the Way Today, where she and her co-host, multi EMMY award-winning broadcast journalist Scott Murray, interview CEOs and highly influential leaders from prominent corporations and well-known brands.  She has learned the leadership principles from extensive radio discussions about their journey to success, their perspectives of the business world today, their views on culture, insights and advice on what they're doing to prepare for the future of work.

Her entrepreneurial spirit has led her to create Power Up People Inc., a people empowerment company.  With a passion to empower our future generations, she developed a youth leadership program that has been adopted by a national education initiative.  Today, she has co-founded Leadership America with the purpose to Create Champions of Change and a Culture of Civility through Courage, Character, Commitment and Conversation.

Angel studied business administration at Triton College in Illinois while performing as a professional cheerleader for the Chicago Bulls (“Luvabull”) during the exciting Michael Jordan era.  She currently resides in Dallas, Texas.

Vanessa Guild, Mindfulness Instructor

Vanessa is a Certified Life Coach & Mindfulness Teacher who began her studies over 17 years ago under Dr. Wren, a Jesuit Priest and Zen Master author of, "Zen Among the Magnolias.”  She continued studies under Azim Khamisa whose work has been hailed by The Dalia Lama, Thich Nhat Hanh and others traveling to Australia doing workshops in maximum security prisons to CEO offices.

Vanessa completed 3x, Vipassana Meditation Trainings, total of 30 days of complete silence and mind/body/present time practice. 


Vanessa lived in a  meditation center like a modern "monk," she combined her mindfulness practice with modern living and teaching meditation classes there for corporate executives, women’s groups, mixed groups and private sessions. 

Vanessa is a Level III Reiki Master who obtained her certification under Sensei Matsuura, Master Teacher from Japan.  She is also a registered Yoga Teacher and certified through 7 Centers Yoga Arts in Sedona, Arizona, listed “Top 10” in the nation by USA TODAY.

Vanessa lived through Hurricane Katrina. Everything, including her home was destroyed. For 2 weeks she did not know the whereabouts of family members or friends;  her ultimate class in impermanence, letting go and acceptance.


Receiving her B.A. in International Religious Studies at Southern Methodist University (SMU), Vanessa studied World Religions/Philosophies with a minor in Corporate Communications & Public Affairs. Prior to SMU, Vanessa was a Tulane University Legislative Scholarship Awardee.

Vanessa has traveled extensively  (Central America, Mexico. China, the Virgin Islands, Europe, Australia, the Seychelle Islands, Maui, Canada & Africa). Along with numerous "solo" road trips throughout the U.S.  She has lived in New Orleans La., Paris France, Houston TX., West Islip N.Y., San Jose Costa Rica, Los Angeles Ca., & Vancouver B.C.. Vanessa now resides in Dallas, Texas.
